We currently have the following reports:
Purple stage (Stolpen - Stadt Wehlen): There was a rockfall at the Daubemühle in Lohmen, so the RockHead is currently not passable here. The trail is closed indefinitely. The municipality is currently examining how to proceed.
The detour now follows Richard-Wagner-Straße to the east. There you can cross the Wesenitz and then follow Mühlsdorfer and Daubaer Straße back to the original route. The gpx data has already been updated. Download the latest version when you are out and about on the RockHead in the near future.
Yellow stage (Stadt Wehlen - Bad Schandau): Forest maintenance and forestry work will take place in the Rosenthal forest district from 20.4. until probably the end of May 2026. The paths affected are Winterleitenstraße, Matheusweg/Mathens Hohlweg and Fuchsbachweg. Please note: As work is being carried out with a cable crane and the cable is tensioned via removal routes, the work is particularly dangerous for cyclists. The barriers on site must be observed at all times. We have rerouted the RockHead at this point along the Lampertsbach. The gpx data and maps have already been adjusted.
