The Elbe bridge in Bad Schandau is closed for the long term and has to be rebuilt. A temporary bridge will not be available before 2026. As an alternative, the ferry between Bad Schandau station and Elbkai can be used. This runs every 15 minutes and is currently free of charge (as of January 2025). The Deutschlandticket and the mobile guest card are also valid here. The ferries in Königstein and Krippen-Bad Schandau are also free of charge.
